Time 4h30m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lb beef stew meat
1/2 onion (sliced very thin)
1 lb fresh baby portobello mushrooms (quartered)
3 clove garlic (minced)
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 stick butter
1 beef bouillon, cube (dissolved in 1 cup water)
2 Tbsp corn starch (dissolved in cold water)
1 pkg egg noodles

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare vegetables and garlic; melt butter.
  • 2. Add all to Crock Pot.
  • 3. Toss stew meat with steak seasoning and brown outside in butter and olive oil.
  • 4. Add to Crock Pot.
  • 5. Add onion soup mix and the beef bouillon cube (dissolved in water).

  • 7. Cook on high 4 hrs. When beef is cooked through, add the corn starch dissolved in water to thicken juices. Cook egg noodles and serve with the Crock Pot mixture.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef. Chuck roast, bottom round roast, and sirloin tip roast are all good choices for slow-cooking.
  • Brown the beef before slow-cooking. This will help to develop flavor and prevent the meat from becoming dry.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your crock pot beef and mushrooms recipe. This will add flavor and nutrients to the dish.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices and seasonings. This is a great way to create a unique and flavorful dish.
  • Serve crock pot beef and mushrooms over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
