Steps:
- While I boil the pork for 20-30 minutes to decrease fat, I mix all other ingredients together in a large enough bowl and stir to mix well.
- Put pork in the crock pot, adding sauce as you go, until you get to about an inch from the top.
- Use as much sauce as you can as it will be needed later to put over the rice.
- With a big spoon, give a stir to blend all together.
- Put on the lid, turn on high and let it cook for about 5 hours.
- After that, you may want to keep it a little longer on low to keep it hot.
- Serve this with some white rice, baked beans (or just pork& beans), cole slaw and some toasted garlic bread and you have yourself a meal.
- Be sure to use lots of the sauce over the pork and rice.

Steps:
- 1. Ribs: Sprinkle both sides with the garlic powder and Everglades seasoning. Place a paper towel over top and allow to rest while you make the sauce.
- 2. Sauce: Place all ingredients, except chopped bacon and the liquid smoke, in a saucepan. Mix well and heat stirring occasionally. Do not allow to burn. Once it begins to come to a soft boil, remove from heat, stir in bacon bits. Place the sauce in a bowl or glass measuring cup and cover with Saran Wrap. Set aside. (Do not refrigerate)
- 3. Spray your Crock Pot with cooking spray. Place ribs in and sprinkle with the mesquite liquid smoke. I used a cap full. Cook on low for 4 1/2 hours.
- 4. Check meat after the 4 1/2 hours. Should be a little pink. Drain the liquid and cover the ribs with the BBQ sauce and cook for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- 5. My Crock Pot cooks a little hotter than normal so you may have to adjust your times or cook until a meat thermometer reads 145°. I must add that your house is going to smell so yummy while this is cooking. Enjoy.

Steps:
- 1. Combine all the ingredients for the all purpose seasoning, store in an airtight container and use as needed.
- 2. Cut the ribs in half and rub them all over with the all purpose seasoning. Place them in a ziploc bag and put in the fridge overnight. When ready to cook, place the ribs on their sides in the crock pot with the meaty side facing the outer part of the crock pot (I used a 4 quart crock pot for mine). Pour in any juice left in the ziploc bag. Pour 3/4 C. of BBQ sauce over the top of the ribs. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, spooning the sauce over the ribs every so often as they cook.
- 3. When you are ready to serve them, cover a baking sheet with tinfoil, turn the broiler on high and carefully remove the ribs to the baking sheet. Brush with a little more BBQ sauce and pop under the broiler to 2-3 minutes to add more color to the ribs. This is really optional, I do not always do it unless we have company coming for supper.

Tips:
- Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are a popular choice for crock pot cooking, as they are tender and flavorful. Spare ribs are also a good option, but they are a bit tougher and may require longer cooking time.
- Trim the ribs: Remove any excess fat or silver skin from the ribs before cooking. This will help the ribs cook evenly and prevent them from becoming greasy.
- Season the ribs: Rub the ribs with your favorite BBQ rub or seasoning mix. This will help the ribs develop a delicious flavor.
- Add liquid to the crock pot: Liquid helps to keep the ribs moist and prevent them from drying out. You can use water, broth, or even beer or wine.
- Cook the ribs on low heat: Low heat is the key to tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. Cook the ribs on low for 6-8 hours, or until they are cooked through.
- Glaze the ribs: Once the ribs are cooked, you can glaze them with your favorite BBQ sauce. This will give the ribs a sticky, caramelized coating and add extra flavor.
Conclusion:
Crock pot BBQ ribs are an easy and delicious way to enjoy this classic dish. With just a few simple steps, you can have tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs that are sure to impress your family and friends. So next time you're looking for a hassle-free meal, give crock pot BBQ ribs a try. You won't be disappointed!
