CROCK POT BBQ CHICKEN
Moist and delicious with this recipe you can get your BBQ chicken fix without having to fire up the grill. It's extremely easy to make. A great way to serve BBQ chicken at a cookout that can be made ahead of time. If you have leftovers (or just want a different option), shred the chicken and serve on Hawaiian rolls. Yum!

Steps:
- 1. Place chicken in Crock Pot. (I throw mine in frozen and it works amazingly. You don't even need to break them apart!)
- 2. Mix BBQ sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, crushed red pepper and garlic together in a separate bowl. (Make sure brown sugar is fully blended.)
- 3. Pour BBQ mixture over chicken, making sure to coat the chicken evenly.
- 4. Replace lid and cook on high for 6 hours. If using thawed chicken reduce time to 4 hours so as not to burn the chicken.

CROCK POT BBQ SMOTHERED CHICKEN
I love my crock pot. It sure makes life easier for me since I started using it. I just wish I had started when I got it. It was a gift from my daughter and her hubby and I let it sit in my pantry for 5 or 6 years before I ever tried to cook in it because I figured I didn't know how to use it. But it is so easy and so convenient. If you have one sitting around, USE IT! You will love it.

- Add the chicken, try to coat it well in the sauce.
- Cook on high 3-4 hours, or until chicken is fully cooked all the way through.
- Then shred or cut up the chicken, and replace it in the BBQ sauce in the pot; mix it all up so all the pieces are coated.
- You can keep the crock pot on low to keep the chicken warm for serving on hard rolls.
CROCK POT BBQ PULLED CHICKEN
Steps:
- Place all ingredients except the chicken in the crock pot. Stir until mixed. Add chicken and coat well with the sauce. Cover and cook on high for 3 - 4 hours OR on low for 7 - 8 hours, until chicken is fully cooked. Remove all the chicken and place it in a bowl. Shred each piece using two forks -- one to hold the chicken in place and the other to scrape across the meat and shred it. Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot, and mix well with the sauce. If you're serving a group, keep the crock pot on its lowest setting, so the chicken stays warm. If you like, season to taste with red pepper flakes. Eat up!
Tips:
- Use a crock pot that is at least 5 quarts in size to ensure that all of the chicken fits comfortably.
- If you don't have a crock pot, you can also cook this recipe in a Dutch oven over low heat for 6-8 hours.
- For a smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the barbecue sauce.
- If you like your chicken with a bit of a kick, add a teaspoon or two of cayenne pepper to the barbecue sauce.
- Serve the chicken with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or corn on the cob.
Conclusion:
This crock pot BBQ chicken recipe is an easy and delicious way to enjoy a classic summertime dish. The chicken is cooked to perfection in a flavorful barbecue sauce, and it's perfect for serving at a potluck or picnic. With just a few simple ingredients and a few hours of cooking time, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love.
