Tips:
- Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are the most popular choice for slow cooker barbecue ribs, but you can also use spare ribs. Baby back ribs are leaner and have a shorter cooking time, while spare ribs are meatier and have a more intense flavor.
- Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs to help the sauce penetrate the meat. You can also trim off any excess fat.
- Use a good quality barbecue sauce: The sauce is what makes barbecue ribs so delicious, so make sure you use a sauce that you love. You can use either a store-bought sauce or make your own.
- Cook the ribs on low for 6-8 hours: This will allow the ribs to cook slowly and become fall-off-the-bone tender.
- Finish the ribs in the oven: This will help to caramelize the sauce and give the ribs a nice crispy crust.
Conclusion:
Crock-pot barbecue ribs are an easy and delicious way to enjoy this classic American dish. With just a few simple ingredients and a little time, you can have fall-off-the-bone tender ribs that are perfect for any party or gathering. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy meal, give crock-pot barbecue ribs a try!
