4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Layer sliced bananas in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon in a small bowl; pour over bananas.

1/4 cup brown sugar
6 fresh bananas, cut into 1 inch slices
1/4 cup rum
vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • Melt margarine in slow cooker by turning cooker on Low.
  • It will take about 10 minutes.
  • Mix in brown sugar when margarine or butter is melted.
  • Gently stir in fresh bananas and rum.
  • Cook on Low for 1 hour.

6 firm bananas, peeled and cut into quarters
1/2 c flaked coconut
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c dark corn syrup ( such as karo )
1/3 c melted butter ( unsalted )
1 tsp grated lemon zest
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp rum ( or could use rum extract )
1/4 c chopped walnuts
french vanilla ice cream
TO INCREASE AMOUNT OF RECIPE, ALL INGREDIANTS MAY BE DOUBLED AND USE 5, 6 OR 7 QT. CROCK-POT

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the Bananas and coconut in the pot. - In a medium Bowl, combine, the cinnamon, salt, corn syrup,melted butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, rum and walnuts. Mix Well - And Pour over the Bananas and Coconut in the Crock-pot . Turn Crock-pot on LOW heat only. - Put cover on - Cook for 1 to 2 Hours. To serve - Spoon Bananas and Sauce over Individual Servings of French Vanilla Ice Cream.
