SLOW COOKER BALSAMIC CHICKEN

Slow Cooker Balsamic Chicken image

So easy and so good. I use frozen chicken breasts and cook on high for 4 hours in the slow cooker. The sauce is not thick, it is a bit runny, but very tasty. Add tomato paste if you want it thicker. Serve on top of pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. I use one can of crushed tomatoes and one can of diced tomatoes.

  • If you don't have balsamic vinegar, you can substitute red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
  • You can use any type of mushrooms you like in this recipe. Portabella mushrooms are a good choice because they have a meaty texture.
  • Serve this dish over rice, quinoa, or mashed potatoes.

Conclusion:

This crock-pot balsamic chicken with pears and portabella mushrooms is a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The chicken is tender and flavorful, and the pears and mushrooms add a touch of sweetness and umami. This dish is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
