½ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch salt
½ cup butter, cut into pieces
1 cup chopped walnuts
⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
2 tablespoons lemon juice

5 good size unpeeled apples cored and cut in to 8th's
4 Tbsp butter cubed
2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp ground ginger
3/4 c dark brown sugar
1/2 c raisins optional
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp bisquick
STREUSEL TOPPING
1/2 c oatmeal
1 c bisquick
1/3 c dark brown sugar
4 Tbsp cold cubed butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c walnut's or pecans chopped optional

Steps:

  • 1. NOTE; COOK ON HIGH FOR 1 HOUR,OR COOK ON LOW FOR 2 HOURS. WHEN APPLES ARE TENDER SHUT POT OFF AND UNCOVER. i ALSO BROWNED THE TOP FOR 3 MINUTES UNDER THE BROILER IN OVEN.
  • 2. Spray inside of crock pot with cooking oil spray. Chop apples and toss with lemon juice. Set aside.
  • 3. Mix all ingredients together for bottom of dessert. Toss with the apples, and place in bottom of crock pot.
  • 4. Make Streusel- mix all ingredients together except oatmeal. And nuts. Place in food processor and pulse until butter mixture looks like peas. Remove and toss with oats. And nuts.
  • 5. Sprinkle over top of apples in crock pot. Cover and cook about 1- 2 hours or until apples are tender. Uncover and let sit 30 minutes before serving. Top with ice cream or whipped cream for alamode.

1 (18 1/4 ounce) package cinnamon crumb cake mix, with cinnamon topping
4 tablespoons butter, melted
