THIN AND CRISPY OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

Thin and Crispy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies image

I tried to combine recipes to come up with a cookie that tastes like Tate's Bake Shop cookies. The published Tate's recipe on YouTube does not taste like the cookies you buy in the store in the green bag. This is the closest I've come to simulating the oatmeal raisin flavor. This is not a thick cakey cookie but a thin, crisp, lighter version.

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your cookies will be.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking: This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set: Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly. The cookies should be slightly soft in the center when you take them out of the oven.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before serving: This will allow the flavors to develop and the cookies to firm up.

Conclusion:

These crispy healthy raisin bran breakfast cookies are a delicious and nutritious way to start your day. They are made with whole grain raisin bran cereal, oats, bananas, and honey, and they are packed with fiber, protein, and vitamins. They are also low in sugar and fat, and they are a good source of antioxidants. These cookies are perfect for a quick and easy breakfast, or for a snack on the go.
