The flavor of these cookies is oh-so amazing! We first tried them were still warm from the oven. The chocolaty gooeyness was to-die-for. And guess what... after they cooled they were still equally addictive!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 c brown sugar firmly packed
2/3 c crisco or 2/3 crisco stick
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 c semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling.
  • 2. Place brown sugar, shortening, water and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed with mixer until well blended. Add eggs 1 at a time and beat well.
  • 3. Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Add to shortening mixture and beat at low speed JUST UNTIL blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • 4. Drop by rounded measuring teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375 for 7 to 9 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  • 5. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet then move cookies to foil.

2/3 c crisco shortening. (not butter flavor)
1 1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/3 c unsweetened baking cocoa
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips ( 12 ounce package)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2. Combine the Crisco shortening, brown sugar,water and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  • 3. Combine the flour,cocoa and baking soda mixing them together just until blended.
  • 4. Combine the Crisco,brown sugar mixture and the flour cocoa mixture together. Add the chocolate chips.
  • 5. Drop by teaspoon full, onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake one sheet at a time @ 375 degrees for 11 minutes. Check them, as you do not want to over bake these cookies!
  • 6. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then cool completely on wire racks.

2/3 cup crisco butter flavor shortening
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Combine brown sugar, all-vegetable shortening, water and vanilla extract; beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat eggs into mixture.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda; mix into all-vegetable shortening mixture at low speed just until blended.
  • Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonsful 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 7 minutes, or until cookies are set.
  • Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet; transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.

1 tablespoon vanilla
2 large eggs, slightly beaten

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups large broken pecans or 1 1/2 cups walnut pieces
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Combine Crisco, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl.
  • Beat with mixer on low speed 1 minute or until creamy.
