Categories     Vegetable

Time 2h15m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb ground beef
1/2 large onion, chopped
12 ounces V8 vegetable juice
2 -3 medium potatoes, cubbed- the smaller the faster they will cook
10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
10 ounces cream of celery soup
16 ounces frozen vegetables or 16 ounces canned vegetables
2 teaspoons salt
1/2-3/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Brown the meat and onion in a skillet. Drain the fat.
  • Combine everything in a Crockpot and cook until potatoes are done! Stir occasionally.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Cut of Beef: For the best results, select a tender cut of steak, such as ribeye, strip loin, or tenderloin. These cuts are known for their flavor and will remain tender even after cooking.
  • Use a Heavy Pot: A heavy pot will help to distribute heat evenly and prevent the soup from scorching.
  • Sear the Steaks: Before adding the steaks to the soup, sear them in a hot skillet. This will help to develop flavor and create a nice crust.
  • Simmer the Soup: Once the steaks are seared, add them to the soup and simmer for at least 1 hour. This will allow the flavors to meld and the steaks to become tender.
  • Add Vegetables: For a more flavorful soup, add vegetables such as carrots, celery, and onions. You can also add other vegetables, such as potatoes, green beans, or corn.
  • Season to Taste: Once the soup is finished cooking, season it to taste with salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices.
