Tips:
- For a creamy and flavorful soup, use a combination of russet and Yukon Gold potatoes. Russet potatoes will add a starchy texture, while Yukon Gold potatoes will add a buttery flavor.
- To save time, you can use frozen diced potatoes instead of fresh potatoes.
- If you don't have heavy cream, you can use milk instead. However, the soup will not be as creamy.
- To make the soup vegetarian, you can omit the bacon. You can also use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
- Serve the soup with a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheese, or crumbled bacon.
Conclusion:
This creamy slow-cooker potato soup is an easy and delicious meal that is perfect for a cold day. It is also a great way to use up leftover potatoes. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a hearty and satisfying soup that the whole family will enjoy.
