Tips:
- Choose the right cut of pork: For this recipe, it's best to use boneless, skinless pork loin chops that are about 1-inch thick. This will ensure that the chops cook evenly and stay juicy.
- Brown the pork chops before cooking: Browning the pork chops in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker helps to develop flavor and prevent them from drying out.
- Use a flavorful cooking liquid: The cooking liquid adds flavor to the pork chops, so choose a liquid that you enjoy the taste of. Some good options include chicken broth, beef broth, apple juice, or white wine.
- Add vegetables to the slow cooker: Vegetables help to add flavor and nutrients to the dish. Some good options include carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, and mushrooms.
- Cook the pork chops on low for 6-8 hours: This will allow the pork chops to cook slowly and evenly, resulting in tender and juicy meat.
