Tips:

  • Choose the right cabbage: Savoy cabbage is the best choice for this recipe, as it has a delicate flavor that pairs well with the pears. If you can't find savoy cabbage, you can use regular green cabbage, but it will be a bit more bitter.
  • Slice the cabbage thinly: This will help it cook evenly and quickly.
  • Use ripe pears: Ripe pears will be sweet and juicy, and they will add a nice flavor to the dish.
  • Don't overcook the cabbage: Cabbage is best when it is still slightly crunchy. If you overcook it, it will become mushy.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it is cooked. If you let it sit for too long, the cabbage will start to wilt.

Conclusion:

This creamy savoy cabbage with pears is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover cabbage and pears, and it is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. So next time you're looking for a new side dish, give this recipe a try.
