SPINACH MUSHROOM GORGONZOLA CREAM SAUCE

Spinach Mushroom Gorgonzola Cream Sauce image

Simple and Quick recipe that tastes exactly the opposite... I used frozen chopped spinach, however, fresh baby spinach cut into a chiffonade brings a freshness to the sauce that marries with the fresh parsley... Also, any mushrooms will do, and reduced fat sour cream is perfect, the fat free version tastes artificial in this sauce...This all started with what I had on hand... Saute some chicken tenders and serve all over pasta...Yummy! Let me know what you think...

Tips:

  • Use fresh spinach: Fresh spinach has a more vibrant flavor and texture than frozen spinach. If you're using frozen spinach, be sure to thaw it and squeeze out any excess water before using.
  • Don't overcook the spinach: Spinach cooks very quickly, so it's important to not overcook it. Overcooked spinach will become mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a good quality Gorgonzola cheese: The flavor of the Gorgonzola cheese is key to this dish, so be sure to use a good quality cheese. Look for a cheese that is creamy and has a strong, pungent flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of pasta: This dish is traditionally made with penne pasta, but you can use any type of pasta that you like. Some other good options include rigatoni, fusilli, or rotini.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it is made. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and become soggy if it sits for too long.

Conclusion:

This creamy Gorgonzola spinach pasta is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The combination of creamy Gorgonzola cheese, fresh spinach, and tender pasta is sure to please everyone at the table.
