Tips:

  • Use fresh fennel: Fresh fennel has a more pronounced flavor than dried fennel. If you can, use fresh fennel bulbs and fronds for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: When sautéing the fennel, don't overcrowd the pot. This will prevent the fennel from browning properly and will result in a bland soup.
  • Use a good quality chicken broth: The chicken broth is a key ingredient in this soup, so it's important to use a good quality broth. Look for a broth that is made with real chicken and that has a rich flavor.
  • Season to taste: Be sure to season the soup to taste before serving. You may need to add more salt, pepper, or herbs to taste.
  • Serve with a herb salad: The herb salad is a great way to add freshness and flavor to the soup. You can use any combination of fresh herbs that you like.

Conclusion:

This creamy fennel soup is a delicious and easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. The soup is made with fresh fennel, chicken broth, and cream. It is then topped with a flavorful herb salad. This soup is sure to please everyone at your table.
