2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup butter, melted
FILLING:
2/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1-1/4 cups cold water
4 cups chopped peeled tart apples (about 2 large)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Mix flour, brown sugar, oats and butter; reserve 1-1/2 cups mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture onto bottom and up sides of an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. , In a large saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch and water until smooth; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in apples and vanilla. Pour into crust. Crumble topping over filling., Bake until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly, 40-45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

1/4 c butter
1 1/2 c graham crackers, crushed
1 can(s) (14 oz.) eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 c sour cream
1/4 c lemon juice
1 can(s) apple pie filling
1/4 c chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground

Steps:

  • 1. In a 1-1/2 qt. shallow baking dish, melt butter in a preheated 350-degree oven. Sprinkle in the graham cracker crumbs; stir well. Press crumbs on bottom of dish.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream and lemon juice. Spread mixture evenly over the crumbs.
  • 3. Spoon the pie filling over the creamy layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until set.
  • 4. Cool slightly. In a small bowl mix together the nuts and cinnamon; sprinkle over the pie filling. Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.
  • 5. NOTE: Peach pie filling may be substituted for the apple. Or you may also substitute blueberry or cherry pie filling, in which case omit the cinnamon.
