Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1- 8 oz pkg reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1 c lite mayonnaise
1/2 c reduced-fat, shredded mozzarella cheese
3 tsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp hot sauce
1/2 lb frozen salad shrimp, thawed
1/2 c sliced scallions

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350. Spray a 1-quart baking dish w/ cooking spray
  • 2. In lg bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, garlic, worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and hot sauce. Mix well. Stir in shrimp and scallions, mix well.
  • 3. Spoon mix into baking dish. Bake 30 min, or until golden on top.

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp has a better flavor and texture than frozen shrimp. If you're using frozen shrimp, thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp: Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery. Cook the shrimp just until it is opaque and pink.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese: The cream cheese is the base of the dip, so it's important to use a good quality cream cheese. Look for a cream cheese that is smooth and spreadable.
  • Add some flavor enhancers: You can add some flavor enhancers to the dip, such as garlic, onion, or herbs. You can also add some chopped vegetables, such as celery or bell pepper.
  • Serve the dip warm: The dip is best served warm. You can reheat it in the oven or microwave before serving.
