CRANBERRY MARGARITA #2

Cranberry Margarita #2 image

My own personal concoction, one of three that I wrote down in hopes of a good 'Rita. This one, as good as the first, is smooth and very berry!

Provided by PalatablePastime

Categories     Beverages

Time 5m

Yield 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/4 ounces tequila
1 ounce triple sec
3 1/4 ounces cranberry juice
5 ice cubes
granulated sugar

Steps:

  • Moisten rim of margarita or martini glass with some cranberry juice.
  • Hold glass inverted and dust exterior portion with some granulated sugar so it sticks to the juice on the outside rim.
  • Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker and top with tequila, triple sec, and cranberry juice.
  • Replace lid and shake vigorously.
  • Pour into prepared glass and serve.
  • Salud!

Tips:

  • Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh cranberries, you can use frozen cranberries, but be sure to thaw them before using.
  • If you don't have cranberry juice, you can make your own by simmering fresh or frozen cranberries in water for 10-15 minutes. Then, strain the mixture to remove the solids.
  • You can use any type of tequila you like in this recipe. However, a blanco or reposado tequila will give you the best flavor.
  • If you don't have Cointreau, you can use another orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier or Triple Sec.
  • Be sure to rim the glasses with salt before serving. This will help to balance out the sweetness of the margarita.
  • Garnish the margaritas with a lime wedge or a cranberry.

Conclusion:

The Cranberry Margarita is a refreshing and festive cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by everyone. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy-to-make cocktail, give the Cranberry Margarita a try!
