2 Tbsp canola oil
6 bone in or boneless chops
1/4 tsp salt
1 can(s) whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 c apple jelly
1 Tbsp guldens spicey mustard
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
1 Tbsp cornstarch

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Sprinkle meat with salt. Place in the skillet: cook 4 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn meat, reduce heat to medium and cook 6 minutes more. Just until slightly pink in the centers.
  • 2. Stir together remaining ingredients in a small bowl until well blended. Gradually add to meat in skillet: cook 3 to 4 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly.
  • 3. Serve

Tips:

  • Choose thick-cut pork chops: This will ensure that the chops stay juicy and flavorful during cooking.
  • Use a flavorful glaze: The glaze is what will give the pork chops their delicious flavor, so be sure to use a recipe that you like. The cranberry glaze in this recipe is a great option, but you could also try a maple glaze, a honey glaze, or a barbecue glaze.
  • Cook the pork chops over medium heat: This will help to prevent the chops from overcooking and becoming dry. It will also allow the glaze to caramelize and create a delicious crust, It is important to make sure the glaze does not burn.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the pork chops are cooked through: The internal temperature of the pork chops should be 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the chops, resulting in a more tender and flavorful piece of meat.

Conclusion:

Cranberry glazed pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. The pork chops are juicy and flavorful, and the cranberry glaze is a perfect complement. This recipe is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
