CRANBERRY CREAM CHEESE DIP
I got this from a neighbor while living in Germany and modified it a little. She was an American too. This was always a hit at every get-together we had! Fresh cranberries with jalapenos, sugar, green onions, and cilantro makes for great salsa. Add the cream cheese and you have a great dip! Serve with Ritz® crackers or Wheat Thins®.

Steps:
- 1. In a medium-sized bowl, add chopped cranberries, green onion, cilantro and jalapeno. (NOTE: Don't use a food processor to chop these. It is slightly time consuming, but the cranberries will liquify if they are not hand-chopped.).
- 2. Pour sugar, lemon juice and salt over cranberry mixture and stir gently until blended.
- 3. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for at least one hour. If you prefer less tart cranberries, keep in the refrigerator overnight.
- 4. Take cranberry mixture out of the refrigerator and stir all ingredients together. Strain out the liquid using a colander with small holes.
- 5. Spread cream cheese over bottom of a pie plate or 9×9 dish.
- 6. Pour cranberry mixture atop cream cheese and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- 7. Serve with Ritz crackers and enjoy!

Steps:
- 1. Put your cranberries in a food processor. I used my mini chopper (one batch of CranberryWoodChipDelight was enough for me. The blender and I aren't speaking to each other at this point .) You could also, just chop them up. 2. Chop up your green onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper into small pieces. Careful of the seeds now. Throw on a pair of rubber gloves or something, please. The seeds are the hot part of the pepper. If you don't like a lot of heat on the old pallet, just leave the jalapeno out. 3. Add all ingredients (but the cream cheese and the wheat thins) into a bowl. Mix them all together, cover and store in the fridge for at least 4 hours. The sugar needs some time to soak in to the cranberries and break up their bitter taste. 4. When you are ready to serve, place your cream cheese bricks on a plate. 5. Spread the cream cheese out as evenly as you can. 6. Pour your cranberry mixture over the cream cheese. 7. Spread it all around. 8. Serve immediately with Wheat Thins, Ritz Crackers or Tortilla Chips.

- Chop the cranberries finely. This will help them to distribute evenly throughout the dip and make it easier to eat.
- Use a food processor to make the dip. This is the easiest way to get a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help the flavors to meld together and make the dip even more delicious.
- Serve the dip with crackers, fruit, or vegetables. Cranberry dip is a great appetizer or snack, and it can also be used as a spread for sandwiches or wraps.
Conclusion:
Cranberry dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with fresh cranberries, cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar, and it can be flavored with a variety of spices.
