CRANBERRY STUFFING

Cranberry Stuffing image

This is an original recipe for those who like trying something a little different. Using cranberries, walnuts, and golden raisins, you can make a stuffing that sweetens your Thanksgiving meal! I'm not actually sure how well it does when baked in a turkey. I find that putting stuffing in the bird tends to dry the bird.

Tips:

  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature before you start. This will make it easier to mix and will help prevent lumps.
  • If your cranberry filling is too thick, you can add a little bit of water or orange juice to thin it out.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing can make the sufganiyot tough.
  • When frying the sufganiyot, be sure to use a thermometer to monitor the oil temperature. The oil should be between 350°F and 375°F.
  • Sufganiyot are best served warm, but they can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
