  • Note: Sometimes certain heads of cabbage are a little bitter, I taste and add a teaspoon or two of sugar if needed; The dried fruit& coconut usually provide enough sweetness to this salad.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cabbage: Green cabbage is the most common type used in coleslaw, but you can also use red cabbage or a mix of both for a colorful slaw.
  • Shred the cabbage finely: This will help the dressing to coat the cabbage evenly and make the slaw more crisp and flavorful.
  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline: This will help you get thin, even slices of cabbage.
  • Don't overdress the slaw: Too much dressing can make the slaw soggy and bland. Start with a small amount of dressing and add more to taste.
  • Let the slaw chill before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the slaw to become more crisp.

Conclusion:

Cranberry coleslaw is a delicious and refreshing side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its sweet, tangy, and crunchy flavors, cranberry coleslaw is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
