3/4 cup of cranberry sauce - leftovers work great!
1 (6 ounce) bottle of chili sauce
3/4 cup water
1 (26 ounce) bag of meatballs
Mashed potatoes, optional

Steps:

  • In a large pot combine brown sugar, cranberry sauce, chili sauce and water. Mix well.
  • Add frozen meatballs and mix well.
  • Cook over medium heat for 25 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice. (Leftover mashed potatoes work great!)

1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce
3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 can 16 ounce whole cranberry sauce [not the jellied]
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Prepared Rice as directed
Preapred Frozen meatballs as directed

Steps:

  • I place premade [frozen] meatballs in 9x13 baking dish and cook according to directions. Meanwhile I prepare minute rice according to stove top directions & let sit. Then in another pan I mix the ingredients for the sauce in a pan and cook until like sauce consistancy & let sit. Then when the meatballs are done pour the sauce over the top of them and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve over rice.

4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 cup grated orange zest (from about 3 oranges)
2 dried guajillo chile peppers, stemmed and seeded
2 dried ancho chile peppers, stemmed and seeded

  • Place the sugar and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Add the cranberries to the saucepan and return to a boil. Turn down the heat to low and let simmer until the cranberries start bursting, about 10 minutes. Add the orange zest to the sauce.
