Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: When baking with butter, cream cheese, and eggs, it's important to use them at room temperature. This will help them blend together more easily and create a smoother batter.
  • Don't Overmix the Batter: Overmixing the batter can make your cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the Cookies Until They Are Just Set: The cookies should be slightly golden brown around the edges and just set in the center. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
  • Let the Cookies Cool Completely: Allow the cookies to cool completely before frosting or decorating them. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
