Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen cranberries. Fresh cranberries are available in the fall and winter months, while frozen cranberries are available year-round. If using frozen cranberries, thaw them before using.
  • Choose a tart apple. Tart apples, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, will help to balance out the sweetness of the cranberries and oats.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the oatmeal tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the oatmeal until it is golden brown and bubbly. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Serve the oatmeal warm with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings include milk, yogurt, fruit, and nuts.

Conclusion:

Cran-apple baked oatmeal is a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast that is perfect for a cold morning. It is also a great way to use up leftover cranberries and apples. This recipe is a great way to start your day with a healthy and delicious breakfast. The oats provide fiber and energy, while the cranberries and apples add antioxidants and vitamins.
