Tips:

  • Use fresh crab meat for the best flavor. If you don't have access to fresh crab meat, frozen crab meat is a good substitute but be sure to thaw it completely before using.
  • Don't overcook the crab dip. Overcooked crab meat becomes tough and chewy. Cook the dip just until it is heated through, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve the crab dip with a variety of dippers, such as crackers, vegetables, or pita bread. This will allow your guests to choose their favorite way to enjoy the dip.
  • If you have leftover crab dip, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the dip for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw the dip overnight in the refrigerator or microwave it on low power until heated through.
