1 1/3 cups butter or 1 1/3 cups shortening
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups cottage cheese
4 eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla
5 1/2 cups flour
1 cup baking cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cream the first five ingredients in a large bowl.
  • In a seperate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda, salt and nuts. Fold into creamed mixture.
  • Drop by spoonfuls into a bowl of confectioner's sugar.

4 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 cups cottage cheese
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and white sugar, until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
