Peanut Butter Cornflake Bars image

Peanut butter cornflake bars were one of my favorite treats when I was a little girl. If you like chocolate, I have a friend who spreads 1 cup of melted chocolate chips over the top. Let the chocolate set before cutting into the bars. -Laura Campbell, Lisbon, Maine

  • Pour over cornflakes. Stir til cornflakes are well coated.

Tips:

  • Use fresh cornflakes. Stale cornflakes will not hold their shape as well and will make the squares less crispy.
  • Don't overcook the sugar syrup. If the syrup is too thick, it will be difficult to spread over the cornflakes and will make the squares too hard.
  • Be careful when melting the chocolate. If the chocolate is too hot, it will burn and ruin the squares.
  • Let the squares cool completely before cutting them. If you cut them too soon, they will fall apart.

Conclusion:

Cornflake squares are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are a great way to use up leftover cornflakes, and they can be customized to your liking with different flavors and toppings. Next time you are looking for a sweet and crunchy snack, give cornflake squares a try!
