CORN PUFF CARAMEL CORN
Because you don't need to pop the corn or use a candy thermometer, this is faster and easier than more traditional caramel corn recipes. To avoid messy cleanup, consider using a disposable aluminum roasting pan. -Caroline Monroe, Clinton, Wisconsin

NO-HULL NO-SEED PUFF CARAMEL CORN
My Grandma always used to make these. Some times "Puff Corn Snacks" are hard to find, especially here in Wyoming. They are also referred to as "corn puffs", "corn curls", or "puffcorn curls". Don't confuse with cereals. I have my luck finding them in South Dakota, where I grew up. The two brands are Barrel O' Fun and Old Dutch. Enjoy!

Tips:
- To make the corn puffs, you will need a popcorn maker. If you don't have one, you can also make them in a large pot on the stovetop. Just be sure to keep the heat on low and shake the pot constantly so that the kernels don't burn.
- For the caramel corn, you will need to use a candy thermometer to ensure that the sugar syrup reaches the correct temperature. If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can also use the cold water test. To do this, drop a small amount of the syrup into a bowl of cold water. If the syrup forms a hard ball, it is ready.
- Be careful when pouring the hot caramel syrup over the corn puffs. It is very hot and can cause burns. Use a large spoon or spatula to stir the corn puffs and coat them evenly with the caramel.
- Once the caramel corn is coated, spread it out on a baking sheet to cool. This will help to prevent the pieces from sticking together.
- Store the caramel corn in an airtight container at room temperature. It will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Corn puff caramel corn is a delicious and easy-to-make snack that is perfect for parties, movie nights, or anytime you need a sweet treat.
