Provided by debicakes62

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 cups corn flakes, crushed
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
6 ounces chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1 Heat peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat to melt. Stir in cereal. 2 Pat into a 8×8 lightly greased pan. (I line my pan with foil and then lightly spray it. When it is time to cut them, the foil lifts right out.). 3 Melt chocolate chips over low heat or in the microwave and spread over top. Cool until firm.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter, or the bars will be tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking, or the bars will be too soft.
  • Bake the bars until they are just set, or they will be dry.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them, or they will fall apart.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
