EASY STRAWBERRY JELLO SALAD WITH COOL WHIP
Steps:
- Boil one cup water on stove top, and mix into bowl with jello powder in mixing bowl. Add in one cup cold water and stir. Chill jello, preferably in a shallow pan, for about 45 minutes or until it is completely cool, just starting to set. Pour the jello into a large mixing bowl. Mix the jello up vigorously, for about one minute. Using an electric mixer is great for this step. But watch out it splashes. This breaks up any jello bits that have started to set, and adds air to the mix. Then fold in the Cool Whip and then strawberries. Mix completely, but be gentle and don't deflate the mix by stirring too aggressively. If you want to add in mini marshmallows, do it now. Add them in about 1/2 cup at a time to make sure you don't overdo it. Transfer to a 9×13 pan for serving, or into individual dishes if you prefer. You can top with whipped cream and sliced strawberries if you prefer. If you want to dress up this dish, spread a spoonful of strawberry jam in the bottom of a glass dessert dish or shallow glass. Then add the salad mix. After the dish has chilled, dollop with some fresh whipped cream and a slice of strawberry.

CREAM CHEESE COOL WHIP FROSTING RECIPE - (3.8/5)
Provided by MaryEllen
Number Of Ingredients 5
Steps:
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together softened cream cheese with the Cool Whip. Add the sugar, vanilla, and pudding mix, if using. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. If you would like a colored frosting, add several drops of food coloring and mix. Continue to add food coloring, stirring after each addition, until the frosting is the desired color. With a spatula, spread the frosting over your desired dessert, several tablespoons at a time. Once the entire surface is covered, use the spatula to smooth out the frosting and make sure it's evenly distributed over the surface. For an even more attractive cake, use a butter knife or spatula to create a wave-like design in the frosting. You can also spoon the frosting into a pastry bag (or a plastic storage bag with a small hole cut from one of the corners), and, with a frosting tip, squeeze frosting onto your dessert.

I was cleaning out old plastic ware, and I found a special Cool Whip mixing bowl with 3 recipes printed on the sides. It must be 20 years old. I thought I'd save the recipes even though the bowl is destined for the feeding of outdoor stray animals. I have not made all these pies, but I believe I remember making the Lemonade...

COOL WHIP FRUIT DIP
This is an easy two-ingredient dip which I love to enjoy on apples and strawberries especially, although I would imagine it would be delicious on any fruit. I use Cool Whip Free and Dannon Light n' Fit yogurt to keep calories low (which in this case does not require forfeiting any of the taste!).

COOL WHIP / WHIPPED TOPPING / CREAM SUBSTITUTE
Avoid icky hydrogenated oils: this is by no means a diet or lite food, but a purer alternative. This isn't really a recipe as much as a technique to make your own whipped topping for desserts that call for it, such as pies, dessert pizzas, etc. SERVING SIZE IS 1 TBSP

Steps:
- Whip the cream with a whisk or wooden fork in a sturdy bowl until peaks form.
- Beat in the powdered sugar tablespoon by tablespoon, until it has something of a real shape and consistency to it. Voila, you're done! Sprinkle with some cinnamon if topping a pumpkin pie.
- I like giving it a light vanilla flavor-- a little goes a long way, 1/8-1/4 tsp is really all you need. For some ideas, 1/4 tsp lemon extract with some yellow food dye makes for a nice lemon cream topping, same with strawberry extract and red food coloring. Almond extract with some crushed almonds on top? Mmm!

Tips for Making Cool Whip:
- Chill all ingredients and equipment thoroughly before starting. This will help the Cool Whip to set up quickly and smoothly.
- Use heavy cream with at least 36% butterfat. This will give the Cool Whip a rich, creamy texture.
- Gradually add the sugar while beating the cream. This will help to prevent the sugar from crystallizing and making the Cool Whip grainy.
- Beat the Cool Whip until it reaches stiff peaks. This will ensure that it is light and fluffy.
- Flavor the Cool Whip with your favorite extracts or spices. Some popular options include vanilla, almond, chocolate, and mint.
Conclusion:
Cool Whip is a versatile and delicious topping that can be used on a variety of desserts. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a little planning, you can make Cool Whip that is just as good as, if not better than, the store-bought variety. So next time you are looking for a topping for your favorite dessert, give Cool Whip a try. You won't be disappointed!
