Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry*
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (1.4 ounce) packet Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped
3 green onions, chopped + more for garnish, if desired
crackers and fresh vegetables for serving

Steps:

  • It is very important to drain all of the water from the spinach. You can wrap the spinach in a few layers of paper towels or a kitchen towel and wring out the liquid. You could also press it in a potato ricer to remove the liquid. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add the sour cream, mayonnaise, Knorr mix, water chestnuts and green onions. Stir well to combine. Stir in the spinach until fully combined.
  • Cover dip and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve with crackers and fresh vegetables.

CREAMY CHEESY SPINACH DIP

Creamy Cheesy Spinach Dip image

This recipe doesn't contain mayo or sour cream like most, so it's very cheesy and very delicious. I'm asked for the recipe every time I make it. For those who don't want a strong cheese like Cheddar, you can replace it with anything you like or even leave it out altogether. I like adding the Cheddar because it adds color and a little more flavor.

Tips:

  • Don't overcook the spinach. Overcooked spinach will be mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a good quality cheese. A sharp cheddar cheese or a combination of cheddar and Parmesan cheese will give your dip a rich, flavorful taste.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. You can add other ingredients to your dip, such as cooked bacon, chopped walnuts, or diced red onion.
  • Serve your dip with a variety of dippers. Crackers, chips, and vegetables are all great options.

Conclusion:

Spinach dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It can be served with a variety of dippers, and it is sure to be a hit with your guests. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack or appetizer, give this cool and creamy spinach dip a try.
