COOKIE ON A STICK
Super easy and fun treat, especially to take to school for the little ones. Is perfect for those "no peanut" classrooms. We love to use Snickers bars and chocolate chip dough, but we can't take peanuts to our school, so we use Milky Way bars instead. (It's been great both ways) Also, we have tried it with sugar cookie dough and liked that too! You can use those wide popsicle sticks for the really little ones - K3 age. EASILY Doubled!! I think I got this recipe off Nestle's web site, but I can't remember!

COOKIES ON A STICK
Steps:
- Cookie: Beat butter, sugar and salt in a largebowl, with a mixer on medium-high until light and fluffy, about 3 mins. Reduce speed to medium; add egg and beat until combined. Beat in corn syrup and vanilla. Reduce speed to low; gradually add flour and beat until blended. Shape dough into two disks, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. You'll need baking sheets. Roll out 1 disk between 2 sheets of wax paper to 1/4 in. thick. (At this point I had a problem. When I rolled it out, it was too thin to put the stick in so I suggest that you roll dough out as thick as you need, so your stick will go in and not damage the cookie). Remove top layer of wax paper and cut out shaped using cookie cutters. Transfer to a baking sheet. Insert point of skewer, gently about 2 1/2 in. into dough. Bake 12-14 mins or until cookies are golden. (May need to bake longer for cookies that are thicker). Transfer to wire rack and cool completely. Divide decorating icing into bowls and tint as desired. Spread on cookies and let dry 1 hour. Icing: Beat sugar and powdered egg whites in a large bowl with mixer on low speed to blend. Beat in 1/3 cup water. Increase speed to high; beat 5 mins. or until icing is very thick and white. Makes 2 1/2 cups. Note: If icing is too thick to spread, put some in a seperate bowl and add a few frops of water to thin out.
CANDY BAR COOKIES ON A STICK
These peanut butter cookies are so yummy and even more fun when eaten from a stick with a snickers bar surprise in the middle. This is another recipe from my mom that I haven't made in years, but remember being very tasty! You could probably use just about any cookie recipe or miniature candy bar, but I haven't tried. It's fun to use colored candy or sugar to match the occasion (red/green for Christmas, pink for a girls birthday, etc.).

Tips:
- Use different cookie doughs: You can use any type of cookie dough you like, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, or oatmeal raisin. You can also use pre-made cookie dough from the store to save time.
- Get creative with your toppings: Once your cookies are baked, you can top them with anything you like, such as sprinkles, chocolate chips, or nuts. You can also drizzle them with melted chocolate or caramel.
- Make sure your sticks are sturdy: The sticks you use to hold your cookies should be sturdy enough to support the weight of the cookies without bending or breaking. Wooden dowels or lollipop sticks work well.
- Be careful when baking: Make sure to keep an eye on your cookies while they are baking so that they don't burn. You may need to adjust the baking time depending on the type of cookie dough you are using.
