½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¾ cup wheat germ
⅓ cup quick cooking oats
1 cup raisins
⅓ cup flaked coconut
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Layer ingredients in order given in a quart ''wide mouth'' canning jar. Mix the flour together with the baking powder. Press each layer firmly in place, it will be a tight fit.
  • Attach directions to jar: Trail Mix Cookies 1. Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix. 2. Add: 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened at room temperature. DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE. Mix in 1 egg, slightly beaten and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands. 4. Shape into walnut sized balls and place 2 inches apart on a sprayed cookie sheets. 5. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 12 to 14 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

●1/2 cup granulated sugar
●3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
●1 large egg
●3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
●1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Place flour mixture in 1-quart jar. Layer morsels, brown sugar and granulated sugar in order listed above, pressing firmly after each layer. Seal with lid and decorate with fabric and ribbon.
  • RECIPE TO ATTACH: Preheat oven to 375° F. Beat 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) softened butter or margarine, 1 large egg and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until blended. Add cookie mix and 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional); mix well, breaking up any clumps. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. 2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • Mix baking soda and baking powder with flour.so you can add flour mixture into one layer.
  • Layer ingredients in order given into a wide-mouth. Press each layer firmly so it will all fit in the jar.
