Tips:
- Choose high-quality ground beef: Opt for lean ground beef with a fat content of 80/20 or 90/10. This will ensure a flavorful and juicy soup without being overly greasy.
- Brown the beef thoroughly: Browning the beef adds depth of flavor to the soup. Make sure to cook it over medium-high heat until it's no longer pink.
- Use a variety of vegetables: This recipe calls for carrots, celery, and onions, but feel free to add other vegetables that you like, such as potatoes, green beans, or peas.
- Season the soup well: Don't be afraid to add plenty of salt and pepper to taste. You can also add other seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
- Simmer the soup for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. The longer you simmer the soup, the better it will taste.
- Serve the soup with your favorite toppings: Some popular toppings for hamburger soup include shredded cheese, sour cream, and crackers.
