2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup shortening
2 ¼ cups packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Melt shortening, stir in brown sugar. Let cool.
  • Beat in the eggs.
  • Add dry ingredients.
  • Add chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla.
  • Pour in 10 x 15-inch pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

3 ¼ cups brown sugar
1 cup melted butter
6 eggs
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.

1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks, melted and cooled)
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut, toasted

Steps:

  • Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with a foil sling and grease the foil.
  • Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl.

1 pkg. (12-oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup walnut pieces, or pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Lightly grease and floured a 13x9x2 inch baking pan; set aside.
  • 3. In a 3 quart saucepan, melt the butter just until melted.
  • 4. Whisk in the brown sugar; mix well.
