Tips:

  • Use fresh tilapia fillets: Fresh tilapia is the best choice for this recipe, as it has a mild flavor and firm texture that holds up well to baking.
  • Make sure the tilapia is fully cooked: The tilapia should be cooked until it flakes easily with a fork. This usually takes about 10-12 minutes in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven.
  • Don't overcook the tilapia: Overcooked tilapia will be dry and tough. Be careful not to leave it in the oven for too long.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: You can use any vegetables you like in this recipe. Some good options include broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and bell peppers.
  • Season the vegetables well: Be sure to season the vegetables with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings before adding them to the foil packets.
  • Add a little moisture to the foil packets: A little bit of moisture will help to keep the tilapia and vegetables moist during baking. You can add a tablespoon or two of water, broth, or even white wine to the packets.
  • Seal the foil packets tightly: Make sure to seal the foil packets tightly so that the steam doesn't escape. This will help to cook the tilapia and vegetables evenly.
