Provided by mikeimmell

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 - 3/4 inch steaks, OR 4 - 3/4 inch thick pork chops, OR
4 lg. skinless chicken breasts.
Note: You can use chicken with the bone in or bonesless,
it's your choice. I like the bone in better because it tends
to give the chicken a better flavor after it has cooked.
1/2 cup A1 or Heinz 57 sauce
Note: If you are using the chicken breast you can substitute
1/2 cup of your favorite bottled BBQ sauce in place of the A1
or Heinz 57 sauce.
4 lg russet baking size potatoes
8 small frozen corn cobs

Steps:

  • Prepare your crockpot by first coating the pot with a light coat of cooking spray. Place the meat on the bottom of the crockpot. Pour a 1/2 cup A1, Heinz 57, sauce or the bottled BBQ sauce over the meat and then cover the meat with a layer of foil. Now place the foil wrapped potatoes and foil wrapped frozen corn cobs on top of the steaks. Cook on low for 6 hours

STEAK DINNER IN A CROCKPOT

Steak dinner in a crockpot image

This is yummy! I've tried it several times, most of the time, I used boneless pork chops :)

Provided by Carolyn Slinkard

Categories     Steaks and Chops

Time 6h20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

3/4" steaks (or boneless pork chops)
baking potatoes
small frozen corn on the cob
1/4 c worcestershire, heinz 57, or a1 sauce (i used worcestershire)
1/4 water
onions and garlic (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Place meat on bottom of crockpot and season to taste. I put a clove of garlic and a slice of onion in the bottom also. Add 1/4 cup of desired sauce (listed above) and 1/4 cup water. If you like you may use 1/2 cup sauce and no water. Cover with tinfoil to keep juices away from the corn and potatoes. Place foil wrapped potatoes and foil wrapped frozen corn (I rubbed corn and potatoes with butter before wrapping) on top of foil covered meat. Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • 2. A small crockpot will only cook for 2 people.

Tips:

  • For tender and flavorful meat, choose high-quality cuts of steak, pork, or chicken.
  • Use a variety of spices and seasonings to enhance the flavor of the meat. Be generous with your seasonings, as the crockpot will mellow out their intensity.
  • For a more flavorful sauce, brown the meat in a skillet before transferring it to the crockpot. This will also help to create a nice crust on the meat.
  • Add vegetables to the crock pot along with the meat. This will not only add flavor to the dish, but also make it more nutritious.
  • Cook the meat on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. The cooking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the meat.
  • Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help to keep the juices in the meat.

Conclusion:

These crockpot recipes are a great way to enjoy a delicious and hearty meal without spending hours in the kitchen. With a little planning and preparation, you can have a complete dinner on the table in no time. So next time you're looking for an easy and convenient meal, give one of these crockpot recipes a try. You won't be disappointed!
