Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients. Fresh, flavorful broccoli, rich cheeses, and crispy breadcrumbs elevate this dish.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli. It should retain a slight crunch to provide texture.
  • Use a variety of cheeses. The combination of sharp cheddar, creamy mozzarella, and nutty Parmesan creates a delightful flavor profile.
  • Make sure the cheese sauce is thick and creamy. This ensures that it coats the broccoli and other ingredients evenly.
  • Don't skimp on the breadcrumbs. They add a golden-brown crust and extra flavor to the casserole.
  • Let the casserole rest before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the casserole to set.
