Tips for Making the Best Cole Slaw with Beans and Bacon:

  • Use fresh, crisp cabbage. This will give your coleslaw the best flavor and texture.
  • Shred the cabbage finely. This will help the dressing to coat the cabbage evenly.
  • Add plenty of vegetables. This will make your coleslaw more nutritious and flavorful. Some good options include shredded carrots, bell peppers, onions, and cucumbers.
  • Use a flavorful dressing. The dressing is what really makes or breaks a coleslaw. Be sure to use a dressing that you enjoy the taste of. Some good options include a mayonnaise-based dressing, a vinegar-based dressing, or a yogurt-based dressing.
  • Let the coleslaw chill before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld together and the cabbage to soften slightly.
