COLD-BREWED COFFEE
Coffee brewed slowly in cold water is less acidic than hot brewed. You can use this concentrate straight over ice or microwave half a mug coffee and then add a half cup of boiling water for quick hot coffee. Develop your own ratio of coffee to water for your custom brew.

COLD BREWED ICED COFFEE
I'm relatively new to coffee drinking, but have graduated from instant to actual brewed liquid energy. I was intrigued when I read about cold brewing and how it can make a smoother beverage with more kick. So I gave it a try and I am a convert. Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge, or made into ice cubes.

COLD-BREWED ICED COFFEE
A version of this recipe was recently in the New York Times. I've been making it this way for years and it's so much better than the recipes which start with hot brewed coffee. I usually start this at night to have fresh iced coffee the next day.

AFFOGATO WITH COLD-BREWED COFFEE
This was the best tasting iced coffee I've ever had. Since the flavors are extracted without heat, the results are a smoother, less acidic, less bitter product. You can use the coffee concentrate straight on ice cream or gelato for a classic Italian treat - affogato.

COLD-BREWED ICED COFFEE
Cold-brewed coffee is actually dirt simple to make at home using a Mason jar and a sieve. You just add water to coffee, stir, cover it and leave it out on the counter overnight. A quick two-step filtering the next day (strain the grounds through a sieve, and use a coffee filter to pick up silt), a dilution of the brew one-to-one with water, and you're done. Except for the time it sits on the kitchen counter, the whole process takes about five minutes.

Tips:
- Choose the right coffee: For cold brewing, choose a medium-coarse ground coffee that is not too oily. Darker roasted coffees tend to work better for cold brewing than lighter roasted coffees.
- Use filtered water: The quality of the water you use will affect the taste of your cold brew. Use filtered or spring water for best results.
- Steep your coffee for at least 12 hours: The longer you steep your coffee, the more flavor it will extract. For a strong cold brew, steep for 24 hours or more.
- Dilute your cold brew with water or milk: Cold brew is typically very concentrated, so it is best to dilute it with water or milk before drinking. The ratio of coffee to water or milk will depend on your personal preference.
- Store your cold brew in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks: Cold brew can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. However, it is best to drink it within a week or so for the best flavor.
Conclusion:
Cold brewing is a great way to make a delicious and refreshing cup of coffee. It is a simple process that can be done at home with just a few ingredients. With a little experimentation, you can find the perfect cold brew recipe for your taste. Cold brew is a versatile beverage that can be enjoyed hot or cold, black or with milk and sugar.
