COINTREAU MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH CAKE

Cointreau Melt-In-Your-Mouth Cake image

Sinful, but REALLY good. The glaze soaks in, making the cake very moist. I usually serve this cake with a "special coffee" made with Cointreau as well.

COINTREAU-GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE - (4.3/5)

Cointreau-Glazed Chicken Wings Recipe - (4.3/5) image

Provided by JimMac

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup Cointreau
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1-1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp grated orange zest (from about 3 oranges)
1/2 tsp fresh-ground black pepper
6 cloves garlic, minced
4 pounds chicken wings

Steps:

  • 1. Heat the oven to 400°. In a large bowl, combine the Cointreau with the orange juice, orange zest, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. 2. On two large baking sheets, arrange the wings in a single layer. Reserve-1/4 cup of the orange mixture and spoon the rest of the mixture over the wings. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and baste them with the reserved orange mixture. Cook until just done, about 10 minutes longer.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: For the best flavor and texture, select peaches that are ripe but still firm. Avoid peaches that are too soft or have bruises.
  • Use a good quality Cointreau: The quality of the Cointreau you use will have a big impact on the flavor of the glaze. Choose a Cointreau that is made with real oranges and has a good balance of sweetness and bitterness.
  • Don't overcook the peaches: The peaches should be cooked until they are just tender, but not mushy. Overcooked peaches will lose their flavor and texture.
  • Let the peaches cool slightly before serving: This will help to prevent the glaze from running off the peaches.

Conclusion:

Cointreau glazed peaches are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The peaches are juicy and flavorful, and the glaze is sweet and tangy. This dessert is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
