Number Of Ingredients 5

6 cups strong coffee
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 pint good quality vanilla, cinnamon or coffee ice cream
unsweetened cocoa powder
purchased cookie sticks

Steps:

  • 1. Brew coffee and chill til cold.
  • 2. Pour 1 1/2 cups chilled coffee over 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup and 2 scoops ice cream per float
  • 3. Garnish floats wit cocoa powder and cookies. Makes 4 floats

Tips:

  • Use cold coffee. Cold coffee will help the float stay afloat and prevent the ice cream from melting too quickly.
  • Use a tall glass. A tall glass will allow plenty of room for the ice cream and coffee without overflowing.
  • Add ice cream last. Adding the ice cream last will help prevent it from melting too quickly.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry. Whipped cream and a cherry are classic coffee float garnishes that add a touch of sweetness and flavor.
