COCKTAIL MEATBALLS
These tasty meatballs will disappear quickly from anyone's holiday party. My mom makes them every year for New Years Eve, and now so do I. These do very well in a slow cooker, as you can simmer them before serving, as well as keep them hot for the duration of your party.

COCKTAIL MEATBALLS IN GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE
I have been searching for a cocktail meatball recipe that did not have the chili/grape-jelly sauce or the Swedish style sauce. I could not find one and experimented with a garlic butter sauce instead. They came out exactly how I wanted and tasted great.

GARLIC LOVER'S MEATBALLS AND SAUCE
This dish is a staple in our part of the country. My daughter Amber and I invented our version after eating at an Italian restaurant in St. Louis. We came pretty close to copying that dish, but added our own little twist. -Toni Holcomb, Rogersville, Missouri

Tips:
- Choose high-quality ground beef. The better the beef, the better the meatballs will be. Look for ground beef that is at least 80% lean and has a fine grind.
- Use fresh bread crumbs. Dry bread crumbs can make your meatballs tough. Use fresh bread crumbs instead, or make your own by tearing bread into small pieces and then toasting it in the oven.
- Don't overmix the meatball mixture. Overmixing can make the meatballs tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Use a light touch when forming the meatballs. Don't pack the meat mixture too tightly, or the meatballs will be dense and dry.
- Brown the meatballs before simmering them. Browning the meatballs gives them a nice caramelized flavor. Do this in a skillet over medium-high heat, turning the meatballs frequently so that they brown evenly.
- Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what really makes these meatballs special. Use a sauce that is packed with flavor, such as a tomato sauce, a garlic butter sauce, or a barbecue sauce.
- Serve the meatballs with your favorite sides. Mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta are all great options.
Conclusion:
Cocktail meatballs are a delicious and versatile appetizer or main course. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. With a little planning, you can have a batch of delicious meatballs ready to enjoy in no time. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give these cocktail meatballs in garlic butter sauce a try. You won't be disappointed!
