Tips:

  • Cold Ingredients: Make sure your butter, cream cheese, and eggs are cold before you start. This will help the dough come together more easily and result in a crispier cracker.
  • Measuring Flour: To ensure accurate measurements, use a kitchen scale to measure your flour. Alternatively, spoon the flour into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife.
  • Chilling the Dough: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling and cutting will help prevent the crackers from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Rolling the Dough: Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to prevent sticking. Use a rolling pin to achieve an even thickness throughout the dough.
  • Cutting the Crackers: Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut the dough into uniform shapes. This will help them bake evenly.
  • Pricking the Crackers: Before baking, use a fork to prick the crackers all over. This will allow steam to escape during baking and prevent them from puffing up.
  • Baking the Crackers: Bake the crackers in a preheated oven until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent overbaking.

Cocktail cheese crackers are a versatile and delicious snack that can be enjoyed on their own or paired with your favorite cheese, spread, or dip.
