COCKTAIL WIENERS

Cocktail Wieners image

A sweet and savory treat for any get-together that will sure be a crowd pleaser. It's cheap and easy to make in a slow cooker with only three ingredients. I make this for any get-together and it is always a hit! I was a little unsure at first about the grape jelly concoction, but I tried it and have never done it any other way. It is so savory with just enough sweet. I always receive or over hear lots of agreement with the taste of the sauce. It always disappears at parties, and the next day I have cravings for these cocktail wienies. Try it for your next potluck, back yard BBQ, or any event!

AUTHENTIC MEXICAN SHRIMP COCKTAIL (COCTEL DE CAMARONES ESTILO MEXICANO)

Authentic Mexican Shrimp Cocktail (Coctel de Camarones estilo Mexicano) image

I prepare this refreshing shrimp cocktail for my family a lot during the hot summer days. Being a Mexican family, we always add Mexican hot sauce (such as Valentina® or Tapatio®) and serve with saltine crackers on the side. The trick is to start with well-chilled shrimp, ketchup, and tomato juice cocktail so it can be ready after only chilling 1 hour in the fridge. Top with additional hot sauce and avocado slices if desired. Enjoy!

CLASSIC BELLINI COCKTAIL

Classic Bellini Cocktail image

The Bellini was created in the late 1930s to early 1940s by Guiseppe Cipriani at the legendary Harry's Bar in Venice, a favorite hangout for expats including Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis, and Orson Welles. The fruity cocktail owes its name and color to Cipriani's fascination with Giovanni Bellini, a 15th-century Venetian artist. Originally prepared with Prosecco and white peach puree, it's perfectly acceptable to use yellow peach puree or prepared peach nectar and/or peach schnapps. Sip and feel sophisticated!

CREAMSICLE® COCKTAIL

Creamsicle® Cocktail image

Luckily in California the lockdown rules were loosening, and my husband and I were able to host some good friends at our home for the weekend. The weather was heating up and while we were spending the day by the pool (pretending we were at an exotic resort) my friend asked if I could make her a foofie drink. I went inside, took an inventory of my ingredients, and the COVID Creamsicle® cocktail was created.
