COBB SALAD WRAP

The original recipe from missionfoods.com didn't include chicken, egg, or avocado - things that I think of with a Cobb salad, so I always add them. This is a good, messy sandwich that usually requires a knife and fork.

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 skinless boneless chicken breast, cooked and chopped
12 slice bacon
4 flour tortillas, burrito size
4 c garden salad lettuce mix
1 1/3 c grape tomatoes, halved
1 c cucumber, sliced
1/4 c red onion, thinly sliced
4 Tbsp crumbled blue cheese (or any other cheese)
1/2 c ranch dressing
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped, optional
1 avocado, sliced, optional

Steps:

  • 1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towel-lined surface to drain.
  • 2. Chop bacon.
  • 3. Heat wraps until pliable and layer wrap with lettuce mix and vegetables. (I usually nuke the tortillas for about 8 seconds to make them pliable).
  • 4. Sprinkle lettuce mix and vegetables with chicken, cheese, bacon, and any optional ingredients and drizzle with dressing.
  • 5. Fold in sides of wrap, then fold forward to seal.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your salad wrap. Choose fresh, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and juicy chicken.
  • Don't overstuff the wrap: A wrap that is too stuffed will be difficult to eat and may fall apart. Aim to fill the wrap with just enough ingredients so that it can be easily folded and eaten.
  • Use a variety of textures and flavors: A good salad wrap should have a variety of textures and flavors. Include crunchy vegetables, such as carrots or celery, creamy avocado, and salty bacon or cheese.
  • Dress the salad wrap lightly: Too much dressing will make the wrap soggy and difficult to eat. Use a light hand when dressing the wrap, and add more dressing to taste, if desired.
  • Serve the salad wrap immediately: Salad wraps are best enjoyed fresh. Assemble the wraps just before serving, and enjoy them right away.

Conclusion:

The Cobb salad wrap is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or a snack. With its variety of fresh ingredients and flavorful dressing, the Cobb salad wrap is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give the Cobb salad wrap a try!
