Tips for Making Citrus Marinated Mushrooms:

  • Choose the right mushrooms. Small, tender mushrooms like button mushrooms or cremini mushrooms work best for this recipe.
  • Slice the mushrooms evenly. This will help them cook evenly and absorb the marinade better.
  • Use fresh citrus juice. Fresh lemon juice and orange juice will give the mushrooms the best flavor.
  • Be patient. The longer you marinate the mushrooms, the more flavorful they will be. At least 30 minutes is recommended, but you can marinate them for up to overnight.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. When cooking the mushrooms, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and becoming soggy.
  • Use a hot skillet. A hot skillet will help to sear the mushrooms and prevent them from sticking.
  • Season to taste. Once the mushrooms are cooked, season them to taste with salt and pepper.

Conclusion:

Citrus marinated mushrooms are a delicious and versatile dish that can be used as a side dish, appetizer, or main course. They are also a great way to add some extra flavor to your favorite recipes. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can easily make this delicious dish at home.
