Tips:

  • Choose the right ingredients: Make sure to use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Use real butter, not margarine, and fresh eggs.
  • Measure accurately: It's important to measure your ingredients accurately to ensure the muffins turn out perfectly. Use a kitchen scale for the most accurate results.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the muffins tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a muffin scoop: A muffin scoop is the best way to ensure that your muffins are all the same size and shape. It also helps to prevent overfilling the muffin cups.
  • Fill the muffin cups only 2/3 full: This will allow the muffins to rise properly without overflowing.
  • Sprinkle the muffin tops with crumb topping: The crumb topping is what gives these muffins their signature crunchy texture. Make sure to sprinkle it on evenly.
  • Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This is the best way to tell if the muffins are done.
  • Let the muffins cool before enjoying: This will give the muffins a chance to set and firm up.
