Yield Makes about 2 1/4 cups

Steps:
- In a saucepan combine the cranberries, the honey, the brown sugar, the cinnamon sticks, the cloves, the nutmeg, and the water and simmer the mixture, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the mixture is thickened. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and let it cool. The sauce may be made 2 days in advance and kept covered and chilled. Serve the sauce at room temperature.
Tips:
- Use fresh cranberries. Fresh cranberries have a brighter, tarter flavor than frozen cranberries and will hold their shape better in the sauce.
- Cook the sauce over low heat. This will help to prevent the cranberries from bursting and becoming mushy.
- Add the sugar and spices gradually. This will help to prevent the sauce from becoming too sweet or spicy.
- Let the sauce cool completely before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop.
Conclusion:
Cinnamon and clove cranberry sauce is a delicious and versatile side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. It is easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Whether you are serving it at Thanksgiving dinner or enjoying it as a snack, cinnamon and clove cranberry sauce is sure to be a hit.
